B - B - B - Bronwyn

Aftyn has started to sound out certain words this way.

Like b-b-b-banana. :)

Has nothing to do with the following pictures,

just thought it would be fun to write down.

It's tough to capture a "real"  Bronwyn smile.
They're at their biggest fleetingly.

Aftyn wanted in on the picture.  :)

AftynPants Magoo

Aftyn is getting so big in so many ways.

I thought I would share a few things that she has been doing.

Her idea of FUN!
A lunch with all of her babies and stuffed animals.

All her own idea.

Had to take a picture.

Aftyn at breakfast this morning.
Bedhead at its finest.

For some reason these little legs dangling from the chair
struck me this morning in a way they haven't in the past.

She won't always be this little.

We've Had A Hard Night

Thanks to the
cute,
dimple cheeked,
smiley faced,
blue eyed,
lots of haired
4 month old
who is sleeping under this blanket :

who has suddenly decided
she
is the one running this show,
no one in this house got a great amount of sleep from 4 am on.
What happened to the sweet baby who has been
sleeping through the night for most of the last 2 months?
She's hiding herself under this blanket and is snoring away
while the rest of us are forced to stay awake.
Her only saving grace right now?
The big grin I know will greet me when she wakes up from this nap.

Got Tomatoes?

When the growing season began, a few weeks before we were expecting our little Bronwyn, our fabulous neighbors offered us some plants for the garden we were planning.  Reed decided we could use 6 plants.  I thought nothing of it at the time.

Our little garden has become a jungle of leaves and tomatoes in only 4 short months.  Yesterday after being gone for 6 days, we picked 2 big bowls of tomatoes! Keep in mind we have only 3 people in our family who actually eat tomatoes, so that is a whole lot!

Tonight, I tried this fabulous recipe that at least made a dent in our tomato supply, and it was actually SCRUMPTIOUS!   Just go here!   We added turkey bacon, powdered garlic and onion, parsley flakes, basil, and shredded cheese and we thought they were delicious!

Also, if you want to try this recipe but have no tomatoes, just drive on down to our house and we can definitely give you more than enough to make this recipe for yourself, your large family of 10 kids, and probably your neighbors as well.  ;)

AND . . . We're Back!

We had such a fun week last week! Reed had to go out of town to Jerome for the majority of the week so the girls and I decided to tag along and go visit the heck out of my sister in Twin Falls.

Overall, we had a blast swimming in the hotel pool as a family, and Alyson and the kids and I had fun running all over Twin Falls going to thrift stores and antique shops.  I even managed to get a hair cut while Alyson went shopping with all 5 kids! She's a saint!!  :)

We ended our fun times in Twin by driving up to Idaho Falls to see another sister and her family up there.
We had a blast going to Sara's Candy Cottage and Rumbi's and getting to spend lots and lots more time with family.
My sister's oldest son  just returned home from Argentina where he spent 2 years as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  He still had an incredible grasp of the English language, surprisingly, so not too much to tease him about there.  He did speak at an incredibly FAST speed which I'm thinking must be similar to the speed people in Argentina speak Spanish? No clue.
Either way, we had such a fun week, even Reed who spent a large majority of it working or sleeping.  He told me he was glad that we came along. And I can tell you, the girls and I had so much fun.  Aftyn was sad anytime we left Alyson's house and when we left IF to come home for good, she cried because she wanted to stay and play more with all the cousins.  When asked, she probably had the most fun anytime she was "playing toys".  It's so fun to see her growing up and being able to appreciate cousins more and more.

*I know I promised pictures, but wouldn't you know I forgot my camera! I did however take pictures with our emergency cellphone.  I just have to find the cord and then I can download them all for you!*

Yes, it would seem I haven't updated my friends, family

and a few stalkers on the goings on of our lives lately.

                                                    Want to know why?

It feels like there has been so much
and at the same time so little.

I wasn't sure you all wanted to know about my Saturday garage sales.

Or mrs. naughty Bronwyn-pants who is stubborn in a way I can't seem to understand.

Or how my house seems to get so dirty so quickly.

Perhaps you would have liked to see my new wall 'o pictures

but frankly its in the hallway and it's hard to get a good picture of.  :)

I finally broke down and took down our baby swing.

Bronwyn hasn't needed to use it in months.

Next up, time to move her from the bassinet to the crib.

Aftyn has begun pretending!

All these mundane and yet interesting to me things to write about.

I'll get back into my groove.

Right after I welcome my oldest nephew home from his mission.

Hopefully the blog will be inundated with pictures of all the happiness and fun

Until then,

Au Revoir!
