Mirren's Official 4 Month Visit

13.9 pounds ~ 35%
24.75 inches long ~61%
16.3 inch head ~72%

She cried more over the stethoscope on her bare skin and everything that preceded the shots than she did over the shots.
Poor thing.
She just knows when something is up I think.
Once she was done being handled by the doctor and the nurse she calmed right down.
At least she didn't hyperventilate like last time when she got the shots.
The doctor said she has no concerns and that she's healthy!
I really like this doctor.
She seems older and comes across in a very grandmotherly way.
No superiority complex that I've felt from some doctors who try to act like they know better than me what is best for my child.
I recall with Bronwyn trying to ask our doctor (a pediatrician in MA)
if it were possible for my child to be
allergic to Gogurts.
She kind of scoffed and said she didn't think that was possible if she weren't allergic to milk.
Then the next visit I confirmed to her that we had been experimenting with different yogurts and
that yes Bronwyn was allergic to some yogurts because of something in them.
She could do all natural yogurt but that was pretty much it.
Anyhow, it's interesting how Heavenly Father prepares us in knowing what's best for our kids
and standing up for them to try and get things figured out as to the problem.

I asked our pediatrician this morning about Mirren's eye. One of her eyes seems to have a drooping lid and/or a potential muscle issue with the eye itself. She is referring us to
an eye doctor here and we will see what comes of it.
If nothing more it's good to get on top of it.

Picture Catch Up From The Weekend

Lots of happy baby holders . . . . . and Bronwyn

Mirren and her cousin, the singer. Seriously, doesn't he look like he's singing something???

"Cousins, non-identical cousins...."

This boy is cute. And so very fun. I love his ears. :)

Just Your Average Sunday Nap

Bronwyn was being too quiet

And fell asleep mid-naughtiness

Laura and Dalana - these gifts just keep on giving! How adorable are these tights with this dress?!?!  She had a bow on her head, but I was just about to change her clothes when I thought to take this picture, so at least I got this. :)

Pictures from this week

Mirren started bringing her feet together this week! She's got skills!

We sure love this girl . . . . and her cheeks . . . . and her cute little nose . . . . and her chin that matches her Daddy's

Church basketball! Reed wanted us to come and cheer him on and the girls were happy to comply

If I could find the picture I have of myself at the age of 3 with this same expression and a MUCH larger rounded tummy, I think we'd see how much Bronwyn looks like me at this age

This girl smiles a lot when you jiggle her. She usually looks like she's going to bite you, at least that's what I tell the girls

Aftyn wanted to pose like this with her pencil LOL
Not pictured:

A very tired Alysa who fully cleaned and organized 2 bedrooms this week, managed to keep up on the wash and dishes and even managed to do her visiting teaching this week with her partner!
Woot woot!!

Something Funny I just remembered

A few weeks ago, I was trying to purchase some things online from Sears. As I looked at my online cart, I noticed the price of something kept changing as I went to finalize my purchase and it was frustrating me.

I saw that I had the option of talking to a live agent for my order and so I did just that. I quickly explained my problem and she resolved it within a few minutes. Right in the middle of her fixing it, I remembered my debit card had just been turned off and I was expecting my new debit card the next day. So I had no way of purchasing!

I asked the agent if I could buy it later with the price fix that she had done for me and she said it was only good for right then. I hemmed and hawed a few moments and explained that I needed to run this purchase by my husband first but Reed wasn't home yet but would be soon.

At that moment, I heard the front door open. Yay! I typed to the agent, " Oh my husbands home!" expecting her to understand that now I would be able to run the purchase by him (and I could also borrow his debit card) and make the purchase. Instead of the reply I expected, she typed to me "Oh, that's nice."  Ha ha ha!!! She thought I was just sharing random information, such as, I'm eating a chocolate chip cookie or some such random thing.

I wonder how often people share random information with those agents. Hmmmm. Something to ponder about. Laura, I smell a good story coming from this query.
