Aftyn and I made it back last night, with a little time for Reed to get some snuggles with Aftyn before she went to bed.
This morning, Reed insisted on hugging me as well. I didn't mind.
And then away he went for the next few days, off to do important scale things.
Hopefully he'll get to come home a few times in the week and sleep in his own bed.
I'm sure he would appreciate that. I know we would!

Too bad Reed has to leave you guys. I hate being away from Steve.
It was a super fun trip. It was fun to see a lot of my family, and I had a fun time driving up and back with my sister.
I don't know how you do it. Matthew just found out he has to go on a week long business trip in a few weeks and I already get sad just thinking about him leaving me and Brayli. You're strong! I may be calling for support. Good thing I have family close by.
when I first had Aftyn, I did a lot of crying when Reed was gone. I felt really grateful for the fact that at least I did not have to worry about going to work. and i called my sister a LOT! :)
