I married into a family with sugarbeet history. And so occasionally I like to sing this song from my childhood for my husband, who didn't really believe it existed. '>.

That's awesome!! Never heard it before, but I love it, and it reminds me of Dad Bishop. So fun!! I'm surprised Reed didn't know that song, since he's got a sugar beet history too!
One month later, I just saw this! I too remember this song vividly, but incorrectly, because I've always sung it a little differently than the kids on there did.
Did you realize that there are only two words in this whole song? Unless you count the word shubeet as a word, of course. Very entertaining stuff. It kind of makes me want to eat something sugary.
