Something Funny I just remembered

A few weeks ago, I was trying to purchase some things online from Sears. As I looked at my online cart, I noticed the price of something kept changing as I went to finalize my purchase and it was frustrating me.

I saw that I had the option of talking to a live agent for my order and so I did just that. I quickly explained my problem and she resolved it within a few minutes. Right in the middle of her fixing it, I remembered my debit card had just been turned off and I was expecting my new debit card the next day. So I had no way of purchasing!

I asked the agent if I could buy it later with the price fix that she had done for me and she said it was only good for right then. I hemmed and hawed a few moments and explained that I needed to run this purchase by my husband first but Reed wasn't home yet but would be soon.

At that moment, I heard the front door open. Yay! I typed to the agent, " Oh my husbands home!" expecting her to understand that now I would be able to run the purchase by him (and I could also borrow his debit card) and make the purchase. Instead of the reply I expected, she typed to me "Oh, that's nice."  Ha ha ha!!! She thought I was just sharing random information, such as, I'm eating a chocolate chip cookie or some such random thing.

I wonder how often people share random information with those agents. Hmmmm. Something to ponder about. Laura, I smell a good story coming from this query.

12 Inches Later . . . .

And off went my hair to Locks of Love.

No pictures because all my pictures look crazy bad.

Okay, maybe one pretty bad picture.

I feel like a new woman! And look like one too. ;)

This haircut was thanks to my mom and sister

dropping in and taking my oldest girls with

them for the rest of the day.

What a nice break that was.

Especially since this is the 4th week in a row that

Reed has had to go out of town for work for

 the majority of the week.

I'm going a little crazy.

And in other news, thanks to Bronwyn and myself,

Mirren managed to wiggle her way off my bed and

fell onto our carpeted floor. Head first.

Poor kid. She's going to be a sensitive child I think.

She cried and cried and then cried some more.

It scared her, scared me and then she just needed to be

consoled and let out all her feelings about it.

No bump appeared and after an hour no sign

on her face or head at all that it had occurred.

Babies are tough little things.

I'm sure glad Heavenly Father made them that way.

Crafty

For Valentines Day, I surprised Aftyn and Bronwyn with their own Minnie Mouse coloring books.  For approximately $2 I have kept my girls busy for the last 3 days. Any chance she has, Aftyn is asking if she can go and color now. She started on the first page and has been working her way through the whole book. She is VERY thorough. She colors every picture completely, all while staying within the lines. The funny/odd/whimsical thing is it's all been done with red crayon. I'm not sure why.  I love it! It reminds me of something I could have seen myself doing as a child. Also today she told me that constricting means tight.

On the way home from church, I looked back to see Bronwyn clutching her wadded up coloring page from church that I had just unwadded for her. I asked her why she had wadded it up again and she told me "Because it's a secret!".  LOL Oh that girl has an answer for everything and almost all of her answers make me laugh.

This morning after feeding Mirren, I laid her on my bed to digest while I got the girls ready and had some breakfast. When I finally got back to her she was sprawled lazily on my bed with a sleepy look in her eyes. I went and kissed her sweet cheeks which made her smile sleepily. I gave her an eskimo kiss, rubbing noses with her, while talking to her and she giggled. Oh what a sweet moment to share with her. She is truly such a sweet baby and so loving.  She currently loves to lick and feel things with her tongue. Her fists are her favorites but she also likes people's shirts, cheeks and blankets. :)

Clenched Little Fists

Something I am loving right now.

Mirren's tightly clenched fists.

The other day when I was carrying her in my arms with her head looking over my shoulder,
she worked her hand into my hair and grabbed on for a more secure ride.
 (Thankfully it didn't hurt.)

When I'm not watching she likes to grab my hair and start to suck on it.

These are things I'm going to miss in a few months.

When she has more hand control and she can reach to grab toys and things.

We just adore this girl.

Life is like a Blizzard

I am having a moment.

A moment where I realize that I can't do everything that I want to do.

Sometimes it's just not physically possible.

That makes me frustrated and mad.

Mostly at myself.

In my mind, I am supposed to be superwoman and invincible.

And I can accomplish everything my little heart desires, all while looking poised and confident

and my kids are dressed in clothes that actually match with cute hairstyles and bows.

And maybe even coordinating shoes!

Reality is I am lucky to bathe my kids every other day

(otherwise, like their mother, their skin would dry out and their hair would not be happy)

and I'm happy most days when I get them all out of their pajamas!

Even better if I myself get dressed! Woot!!

I know this is Satan making me feel like I should be doing better.

Though I know that in all honesty I am doing awesome.

I need to be giving myself more props I'm thinking.

 Because seriously.

I'm amazing.

Trips We Took I Never Documented

Like the sign says, Plymouth Rock!
Pretty sweet. We went here only a few days before we moved.

This is actually only a part of the rock. It wasn't that big. I always expected Plymouth Rock to be as large as a boulder. Turns out it's about as big as my two girls sitting next to each other. And maybe one more kid sitting next to them.

Old Sturbridge Village
Reed's parents flew out to visit us in Worcester, come for his graduation and to help Reed's Aunt Eileen do some family history by way of finding graves of ancestors. One of the fun jaunts we took was to Old Sturbridge Village which was about 45 minutes away from Worcester. It was a re-creation of what a village in the (I can't seem to remember how old) time period would look and how it would run, who would live there, what people did for work, how gardens were grown and what things were grown, what it felt like to ride on a wagon pulled by horses, etc., etc. It was so much fun and a great way to wear us all out pretty quickly!    ;)
In fact, it was so much fun that we went back a few days later when Reed's brother and family came out as well! Ha!
First time I've ever been around pig's in a real pig stye. Guess what!?! Pigs really really stink. Or maybe it's worse when you're a few months pregnant. LOL

They had newborn baby goats! If you really know me, you know I was in heaven!!

A group shot! By what miracle this happened on our camera I will never know. Go Reed!
