~ A Unique Problem ~

I finally remembered what at least one of my "dream" posts was about.

Friday night, I got a phone call around 10:58 pm. I remember, b/c it was close to 11, but it was still 10, so I thought I would answer it. The number showed up as being from Missouri, which should have been my first clue. But, nonetheless, I answered it.

I hear a young woman start talking - trying to come off as very kind and informative, saying something about how she was calling from planned parenthood, and she had some sort of tube or something saying that I was pregnant.(Gee, that's a shockeroo, I thought as I looked down at my almost 37 week pregnant belly.)

Now, you have to know that Reed and I had some genetic testing to make sure all was well, done on the baby back in December. So, insert me, thinking someone had somehow received something meant for us? Whatever - anyway, at this point, this girl seems like she's rambling and starting to repeat the same kind of information in different ways, so I say to her,"I'm not sure what this has to do with me," (cause she never had really gotten to a point in her statements). Anyway, right after my comment, I hear this evil 2nd voice say "calm down lady". At this point, I hang up, b/c clearly this is a prank call.

That's just the latest. I'm pretty sure b/c my phone number, the numbers repeat themselves and they are fairly easy to dial and come up with, I have had at least 5 prank calls from random people I don't know in the last 5 yrs that I've had this number. I wonder if anyone else receives prank calls as often as I have. I've had the random young boy calls - 2 of those I think, one person who just needed someone to talk to at 1 am when I happened to be awake, one sick perv who was asking me weird questions - he was weird.

I am just wondering, does anyone else have this problem? Is it b/c of my number or are weird, bored, psychotic, perverted people just drawn to my number for some reason?
Just some food for thought.
