Give me your old, your tired looking, your distressed

Hi, my name is Alysa, and I am an addict.
*chorus* "Hi Alysa"
My sister Laura was the first to really identify that I had a problem. She noticed it this last weekend when we went looking at garage sales together. I picked up 5 picture frames in a matter of 2 hours, all for a total of $3.30. After seeing my booty she informed me that I had a problem. In total denial I stood up for myself and the bargains I had found.
Last night I broke down and bought myself some *satin* black spray paint. It had been on my mind ALL DAY.
Imagine my surprise when today arrived and I surprisingly had a free day to paint!
I'm so excited to get these little beauties painted and adorning my walls. After taking this picture to share I knew I had a problem.
Which is compounded by my picture-taking sister and all the beautiful pictures I currently hold in my possession which will fill these little lovelies.
Somebody stop me. :)

Just a taste - Don't you love the different varieties?!

The surprise Reed has waiting for him when he comes home. Good thing it mows out, right?

Dang! I can never find pictures frames that cheap at yard sales. People always want 2 dollars or more for one. I'm trying to find a bunch to do some collage on our wall in my apt.

what sizes? I can keep an eye out for you . . . Yeah, the most I pay is $2, but that was the really big one. If it's more, it's not worth it. I got pretty lucky is all.

Mostly just smaller sized pictures - 4x6, 5x7 etc. ones easy and cheap for printing pictures :) I've got a cute picture of little girls in black and white, probably a 14x11 or something, and it says "Girls just want to have fun" then I want to put up a bunch of pics around it, all frames painted black, with pics of all my roommates.

You might think I'm kooky, but have you tried the dollar store? You have to look a little hard to find cool designed ones, and look past their sometimes ugly exterior. Just keep in mind, you're planning on painting them black! Anyway, just a tip. I got 2 of the frames I painted today from the dollar store.

LOVE it!! I get my frames at the DI, Youth Ranch, Good Will, etc. You can find a good variety of sizes and designs and they are pretty cheap. You just have to remember you're going to paint them so overlook some of the flaws.
